The Director of Finance is responsible for the tactical and strategic outcomes of the accounting and finance department. The successful candidate is a great business and financial leader, while also having strong leadership skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversees accounting department systems, policies, practices, and procedures
• Manages all month-end finance reconciliation and closing processes
• Directs and prepares all required financial reports
• Improves and implements financial controls, ensuring accurate control and accounting
• Manages annual budgeting and forecasting
• Responsible for preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting requirements, including, but not limited to, journal entries, reconciliations, analysis of activities and reporting
• Oversight of Accounts Payable and Receivable processing and reporting
• Performs other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily workflow and outcomes of the Accounting and Finance team
• Train team members and establish development plans
• Provide feedback on formal performance evaluations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years related experience required, including specific experience in Corporate accounting.
• Experience in multiple companies and consolidated financial statements a must.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manager role.
• Excellent proficiency in MS Office applications, primarily Excel.
• Experience using accounting and financial reporting systems.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships.
• Careful attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Strong multi-tasking and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple, complex projects and work independently within deadlines.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
